Moral of the story, when the radiator water tank is empty. The aircon is the first to go.
On this fateful day where I had an early morning photography job. I decided to just drive to LRT instead of all the way to KLCC. Aircon wasn’t cold anymore but hey, I’ll fix it after the event.
6 hours later since the day was an early start I would rather sleep than to repair the car midway with all my gears dangling around my waist. Little did I know the the car temp went through the roof! It was chucking along the road and I know my time is limited. Turning off the whole engine whenever the car stopped at the traffic light hoping it would cool down just enough that I could get home (3 mins drive away). Finding a water source like a petrol station would help too but I don’t have a container with me.
Just right at the junction, turning right, I could feel the just splutter and it stopped midroad. Thankfully just enough juice left to inch it to the side of the road near my home where I called my dad to bring some water and fill up the radiator. With smoke and sizzle, a 5 litre container was enough to fill the car and it sputter and start up to reach home.
The next day, half the bottle was again used to fill the radiator, meaning there’s a leak. By the time I reach the mechanic, the temp hit high again. Thankfully repair was just an external pipe. RM85 inclusive of workmanship. Carried the 5 litre bottle with me for the next few days!
All this is to give glory to God that this happened to me and not my wife and daughter, whom the day before the photography job, drove the car around PJ, jammed for a few hours here and there.
