When I first got my first Samsung, I was excited. Waterproof was one of them. But it turns out it’s waterproof only to certain degree. One of them is dropping them in still non-moving water.
But who reads the manual and warnings right. So I thought I can wash my phone under running water. Little did I know rubbing the phone under running water caused some water to seep into the phone, destroying mainly the bottom microphone (it has another microphone near the main camera for video).
Back then in 2019, I was wanting to repair it but repair shop was keen to fix phones with glass back. And samsung official repair wanted to charge me RM500 for it.
As time passed, I bought another phone but today, I got the courage to fix the Samsung Note 9 micrphone by myself.
Thanks to Shopee, I can find it’s spare part for only RM26! So with a heat gun and some iFixit tools, I manage to pry open the back, unscrew about 18 screws and replaced with broken part on first try. Nice.

While I’m having fun with focus stacking, I may as well shoot something else while the setup is there. So here’s a hotwheels car.
