I’ve been inspired to record my memorization journey.
As always, starting is the hardest.
It has taken months of testing to finally land on a format. Not even being a perfectionist, but here I am obsessing over the video, audio, lighting, precise recitation… the speed, the tone, the hand gestures (if any). Do I do a chapter a video? Whole book a video? How much do I want to edit before publishing? Subtitles? Captions? A scoreboard? Much less is said about keeping any viewer’s attention span of watching a talking head rolling his eyes trying to recall.
So, settled on the format of 4 chapters per video due to limited brain juice. Each will overlap. Video A will have chapter 1,2,3,4. Video B will have 2,3,4,5 and so on.
The less complex the procedure, the easier to churn out the videos. Also Hebrews 12 says to “lay aside every weight…”. I should try not make life more complicated than neccessary.
